My name is Kirsty Holmes and I am the Nursery Manager at Bright Comets Day Nursery. staff-kholmes I have 12 years of childcare experience working with all age groups in both a large chain of nurseries as well as an independent nursery. I have a Masters of Arts Degree in Early Years along with a BA Hons in Educational Studies. Amongst these qualifications I have attended other professional training such as First Aid, Health & Safety, Behaviour Management, Designated Person for Safeguarding Children, Fire Awareness, Integrated Practice and Early Support. In addition to this, I am parent myself which gives me an extensive insight into the expectations of parents and enables me to appreciate how much trust parents put in us as professionals to look after those most precious to them. My aim for this nursery is to ensure your children’s safety and welfare at all times, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment whereby a rich variety of stimulating learning opportunities are provided in order to enhance your child’s development, allowing them to become resilient, thus reaching their full potential. Along with, ensuring an enthusiastic, highly trained, caring and well managed staff team are there to scaffold your child’s development and form the foundations for their future learning.   My Name is Janine Wood and I am the Deputy Manager at Bright Comets Day Nursery. staff-jwood I have 6 years of childcare experience and have worked in several settings, both within a large chain and an independent nursery. I have recently passed my Foundation Degree in Early Years, passing with a Distinction and have also undertaken the Special Educational Needs coordinator role for the nursery. Amongst these qualifications I have attended other professional training such as First Aid, Behaviour Management, Designated Person for Safeguarding Children, Fire Awareness, Integrated Practice and Early Support. My aim for this nursery is to maintain our standards and hopefully increase our current Ofsted rating to an Outstanding upon our next inspection. I aim to do this through continuing to implement high quality staff practices that ensure your child is safe, secure, happy and stimulated. I also aim to use my passion for Special Educational Needs to ensure that all children fulfil their potential, making certain that no child is disadvantaged because of their individual needs and abilities.
